I was contacted by Author Rebekah Isert to be her book Series Illustrator. I love using mixed media to create original artwork. I hand painted the front and back cover with acrylics, then used Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to design the copy and title logo. Isert was very happy with how her book turned out and has contracted with me to complete additional cover art for upcoming books. I used a program that helped me calculate the exact dimensions for the hardcover sleeve as well as paperback printing.
When designing the cover I really wanted to use light and shades of blue to make a powerful and memorable art piece that stood out, as well as conveyed a message into what the book was about.
